Edinburgh Northern RFC operates two mens teams, with the 1st XV playing in East Region Division 2 and the 2nd XV playing in the East Reserve Division 2, as well as an over 35s XV playing friendly matches.

Edinburgh Northern were the 2024 winners of the East Region Bowl, and the 2nd XV were the 2025 winners of the East Reserve Division 2.

We're proud to welcome players of all levels, even if they haven't played the sport before.
We offer comprehensive training from qualified coaches to help players of all levels improve their skills, with flexibility for life commitments.
Join us for our twice-weekly training sessions focused on core skill development, tactical knowledge and fitness.
Our training sessions run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, allowing players to fit them into their schedules. Training is not mandatory for all players, so don't worry if you can't make every session.

We regularly welcome players who've moved to Edinburgh for work or uni. If you want competitive Saturdays, midweek fitness, and mates in a new city, the first team is a good place to start.
